- Introduction
- The National Central Library (NCL) has launched “International Workshop for Professional Librarians” once every two years for enhancing academic exchange among East Asian Libraries and Chinese Studies Institutes since 2009. Topics were “Sinological Resources Applications and Services” (2009), “Sinological Resources and Services” (2011), “Preservation and Innovation of Special Collections and Archives” (2013), and “From Ancient Times to the Present: Preservation of Ancient Chinese Books and Development of Contemporary Chinese Digital Resources”(2015), “Nations' Memories and Archives Management”(2017), and “Development and Application of Digital Humanities”(2019) respectively.In 2021, the 7th online Workshop “Successful Library Cases in the World,” will be opened to all professional librarians around the globe.The themes of this year's online workshop include:
• Development of Librarianship in 2021;
• Cases Sharing from NCL's TRCCS Partners;
• Dialogue between Libraries and Digital Humanities.
This year the NCL has invited 9 experts or scholars in Library and Information Science field around the world to share their successful experiences, wishing to enhance librarians and library practitioners' capabilities and facilitate their knowledge exchanges. From September to November, the workshop includes 9 online lectures listed below. A Digital “Certificate of Attendance of 2021 International Workshop for Professional Librarians” will be issued, if you have completed at least 6 online lectures. We warmly welcome your participation!
